Pink Vintage Christmas Inspiration and Products You’ll Love!
For those of you who know me, you might be surprised by the theme I chose to feature first. One, I skipped Halloween and Thanksgiving and jumped right into Christmas. This is not me! I’m a planner to the nth degree. But creativity doesn’t care about my plans. Inspiration doesn’t just happen because I’ve carved out some time on a Saturday afternoon. It can happen when it’s inconvenient or out of order and it can mean jumping ahead to Christmas when I haven’t given a thought yet to Thanksgiving.
Second, I never thought I’d get so excited about a feminine and romantic theme for Christmas, and yet here we are. Pink Vintage! Not only did I find some amazing gems perfect for the pink vintage Christmas I have in mind, but I also created some adorable Christmas cards and gift tags that complement this theme beautifully.
Hope this fab inspiration is just what you needed to get your wheels spinning with possibilities of your own. Be sure to comment and share photos of your results. We’d love to see them!

Getting Inspired

Inspirations come to me in various ways, but most often they involve multiple senses and always a visual element. Colors, textures, variation, cohesion, and the feelings I experience when looking at a design or image are paramount to get me moving and out of my head. I don’t always know why a look or design works for me, but over the years, I’ve recognized that less is often more for me. I may start out looking and maybe even admiring a photo, like the one above, but I typically won’t have much desire to replicate it as is.
I might take an element or two from an existing design that really speaks to me, such as the pale pink and white color scheme, but then I would start to ask myself questions, “What do I love, like, and hate about the design?” I might even ask myself, “Why is that?”
Remember when I said less is more in my book. Well, in the photo above, all of the smooth pink balls and ruffled pink garland is too much for me and yet it doesn’t add enough variation and interest. Sure, there’s some texture, but I like a bit more contrast. I also prefer a warmer color palette and envision some rich browns, maybe some copper or gold.
Then, I came across the image below. This is more like what I had in mind… Still, not quite there, but closer. But now, I’m on a roll and have a better idea of the elements I want to carry forward and those I want to leave behind.

Below are the end results of where my inspiration took me. Let me know where your inspiration takes you in the comment section at the end of this post!

Dining
Food often takes center stage when it comes to celebrating Holidays. Spending some extra care when thinking about your guests’ dining experiences, and incorporating your Pink Vintage Christmas theme into the table setting can elevate your gathering to the next level.
Treats
Holiday treats are a must for me! And, what could be a better treat than gingerbread cookies and hot cocoa? But I’m thinking that deserves a post of its own with recipes to boot. Stay tuned!
